In dem kurzen (englischen) Bericht „REPORT OF THE IV CONFERENCE NO AUSTERITY“ vom 08.

REPORT OF THE IV CONFERENCE NO AUSTERITY

On June 15th and 16th the fourth national FLNA conference was held in Florence (Italy) with the presence of activists coming from different trade union organizations (CUB, SLAI COBAS, CGIL, FIOM, Self-organized etc.) and social movements (Movements for the house, Movements against major public works, Gender movements) coming from several regions of Italy.

We are satisfied for the success of the event, that has been characterized by many widely discussed issues, such as the fight against racism, machismo, repression and exploitation of manufacturing employees. Many motions have been voted, with precise commitments to combat. These commitments have to allow us, in the next months, to create committees against the Salvini decree, to build unitary mobilizations connecting students and teachers, to support struggles in defense of public health as well as movements to defend territories, all with a clear anti-capitalist, anti-racist and anti-fascist point of view.

Let us remember that the No Austerity Front of Fight is a coordination of both social and worker’s struggles, born from the need to join the struggles against capitalism, with the aim of breaking down the consequences, on our class, of divisions between trade-unions, caused by self-referential reasons and competition, that, more often than not, hinder a unitary path of struggle, keeping their members divided, especially during the general strikes. The presence of immigrant workers and activists, who actively participated in the discussion, was relevant, as it was also fundamental the presence of female students who played a leading role in the struggle in defense of climate.

We thank the RSISL for the greeting sent to the conference by all its organizations, a message that has been truly appreciated and that reinforces the conviction of all of us, more and more, of the need of an international coordination tool, useful for achieving our main objectives in every part of the world.

Greetings of Solidarity and Struggle
